About Marcelina
Marcelina grew up in Poland where she started to play violin at the age of 6. In her early years Marcelina participated in various music workshops around Poland such as: Kudowa Zdroj, Janowiec, European Music, Łańcut and many more. Her passion and determination led her to study with the best professionals in the field.
While attending the Karol Szymanowski Music Schools in Warsaw, she was accepted to the class of leading legend of Polish violin art - Jan Stanienda. While studying at the music school, Marcelina performed at the most renowned stages such as: National Philharmonic, Presidential Palace, Witold Lutosławski Studio of Polish Radio, Chopin Music University and many more.
After finishing music high school in Poland, Marcelina was offered a place to study at Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London where she completed her Bachelor and Master of Music in Performance degree under the tutelage of an incredible musician and personality - Simon Fischer.
Throughout this time, Marcelina performed with many exceptionally talented musicians, conductors and teachers such as: Valery Gergiev, Sian Edwards, Ginette Decuyper, Tacács Quartet, Jacqueline Ross, Gordan Nikolitch and many more.
While studying at the Guildhall, Marcelina performed at the most recognized stages such as Barbican Hall, Milton Court, St James’s and many more. After graduating Marcelina participated in many festivals around Europe e.g. The Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival in Sicily, The New Generation Festival in Florence, The Groba Festival in Spain, The North London Festival and many
In more recent years she worked as a teacher at a number of schools in London.
In 2019 Marcelina started a one-year contract in the position of Violin and English teacher in Hyogo, Japan. She spent this year sharing her experience and knowledge with Japanese children whom she taught in English. It was a far-fetched idea but it proved to be extremely successful. At the moment Marcelina lives and teaches in London, UK.

Marcelina has years of experience as a chamber music and orchestra teacher and she can teach using various methods. Each student is treated by her individually, therefore she will select the appropriate method for everyone.
She has experience with Kodaly, Suzuki and the traditional method of teaching violin. We recognise each individual method has a place and Marcelina can apply all of them as well as choose only one. Marcelina’s emphatic character allows her to adapt to the needs of all individuals and she works incredibly in a face-to face and online structure. Moreover, as a Suzuki teacher, Marcelina is skilled in a group learning process.
In previous teaching work, she taught children of all ages right from Year 1 all the way up to A-Levels. Marcelina specializes in teaching the ABRSM syllabus for two instruments: violin and piano. She can offer support with all aspects of the exam including accompaniment, aural training, sight-reading and general exam preparation.
