About Nicola

- What kind of experience do you have?

Over the years I have gained a high level of experience in the music industry, and worked all over the UK with many people as a professional vocalist. I am very well versed in all the techniques used in today's contemporary singing styles - pop, rock, soul, jazz and urban – and have a good understanding of melodies and harmonies. I have also gained much experience in the techniques singers use for live performance and recording, and have myself recorded in some of the top studios in London.

I have been in the Italian top 100 charts collaboration with DJ's and Collaborating with a Grammy award winning artist from the USA, I have also released several singles via my artist project Sertari.

I can offer not only vocal techniques but give appropriate advice and guidance from a point of experience to singers, whether they feel a career in the music industry is for them or they are just looking to sing for enjoyment.

I also have experience in Vocal development, Session Styles, Pre-Production, Post-Production, Business Studies, Theory and Applied Harmony.

I believe in today's society the contemporary way of singing is just as important to be taught properly as the classical way and I have the experience and dedication in this field to pass on to - and hopefully inspire - the next generation of singers.

- Where and with whom did you train?

I trained at the Academy of Contemporary music with some of the best vocal coaches in the music industry. I also trained with a professional vocal coach at the University of Southampton where I gained a vast understanding of the vocal resonances and breathing techniques.

- Do you belong to any professional organisations?

I am a member of the Musicians Union.

- Tell me about some of your current students.

I currently teach private online (Due to Covid 19) 1:1 sessions and teach at a secondary school in Hampshire and a private school in Hook.

About the lesson

Are you looking for a pro vocal tutor, do you want to advance your vocal technique or sing just for fun? - if yes then get in contact to start your training.
I am based in Wonersh near Guildford. Due to the current Covid -19 I will be offering online lessons either via Skype or Zoom. All you will need is to download the app, have good internet connection and a device that you can play backing tracks via online source.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach Contemporary Vocal lessons and songwriting lessons. My main genres are pop, rock, RnB and theater.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I have gained a BA HONS in Music at the University of Southampton and a Distinction at the Academy of Contemporary Music, I have also gained a Btec National diploma in Popular Music obtaining a Distinction.

- How much do you charge?

I charge £30.00 for a 1 hour singing lesson or I can also offer half hour singing lessons if required at £25

ONLINE LESSON FEE: £25 hour or £20 half hour

- Where do you teach?

I currently teach in my home studio in surrey, I provide a safe environment for all. After having consistent lessons students will have the chance to have a lesson based on recording techniques, this session will not only teach recording techniques but will give you a record of your own personal progress of which you can keep. I can also teach mic and live performance.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach all ages groups and all levels, Beginners are very welcome

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

I am prepared to enter my students for a Rockschool vocal Grades at the students request. I can also enter students into musical theater exams.
