About Theodoros

I am a fully licensed professional educator holding teaching credentials in Ontario (OCT), British Columbia, and the United Kingdom, backed by a BA (Specialized Honors in Law & Society) and a BEd from York University.

My background includes ten years of full-time classroom instruction at international schools in Beijing and Seoul. Today, I work as an Ontario supply teacher, which keeps me directly connected to exactly what current high school and university-bound students are expected to master.

The Approach
Our sessions will focus strictly on building actual competence, skipping the generic scripts and empty platitudes. My methodology relies on active listening—pinpointing the exact spot where your understanding of a legal framework or sociological concept breaks down so we can fix it objectively. We look at the material as it is, breaking down complex topics into clear, logical steps so you can handle your next assignment or exam with genuine confidence.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques
My approach to education is strictly grounded in active listening and objective reality. Rather than relying on generic, one-size-fits-all scripts or offering empty platitudes, I focus on understanding exactly where you are struggling and what you need to achieve. Thus, my methodology is straightforward, fact-based, and designed to build your competence efficiently. Having spent a decade navigating different educational systems in Beijing and Seoul before returning to Ontario as a substitute teacher, I have the practical tools to adapt my instruction to your specific learning style and curriculum.

A Typical Lesson Plan
Our sessions are focused entirely on the material at hand and your specific academic goals. A typical lesson is structured as follows:

Diagnostic Assessments: We begin by identifying the specific concepts, frameworks, or academic skills you find challenging.

Structured Instruction: I break down complex materials into clear, digestible, and fact-based components.

Targeted Application: We work directly through your assignments, essays, or source materials to apply what you have learned, ensuring you have tangibly mastered the subject before we move forward.

What Sets Me Apart
I am a fully licensed professional educator holding an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) credential, alongside recognized teaching certificates from British Columbia and the United Kingdom (QTS). Beyond my formal credentials, my extensive international teaching experience has exposed me to diverse cultural backgrounds and academic standards. I do not placate or patronize my students; I provide honest, direct feedback and prioritize building your actual capability in the subject.
