About Richard
I am an open and enthusiastic Master of Physics graduate from the University of Southampton. I have completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at the University of Cambridge and have extensive experience in teaching and education. I tutor in Maths, Biology, History and Physics up to A-level and Chemistry up to GCSE. My particular passions are the studies of Physics and History and I very much enjoy passing on my enthusiasm to others.
If you're having trouble with a subject or simply want to get the best exam grades you can, I can tailor sessions to develop your understanding and fine tune your exam technique. In my tuition I aim to explore the best way to approach a subject with each individual, as everyone learns best when their teaching relates to their own interests, aims and personal learning preferences.
I am currently only able to take on tutoring roles online.

Richard taught my fifteen year old son, Olly, Maths and Physics for around three months.
We employed him to assist with revision coming up to mock GCSE's. Olly really enjoyed his sessions with Richard and I believe got a great deal of benefit from his teaching. I would not hesitate to recommend him.Richard is a very friendly and knowledgeable tutor who supported my son with his A level physics. My son enjoyed having a younger tutor he could relate to and benefited from his wealth of subject knowledge. Richard is fully committed to his students, pleasant to be around and very supportive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services. The only thing I would have done differently would be to have found him earlier in the academic year!
