About Dylan
I am a queer and trans non-binary white person with a background in vocal performance and stage direction. I am also a mental health counselor and am attuned to the wide spectrum of ways we communicate and express ourselves as humans. I love teaching singing lessons because our voice is such an integral part of who we are and empowering people to reach their full range of expression is important to me.

Lessons are half technique and half repertoire.
Techniques are based in Italianate operatic vocalises that emphasize resonance, tone, pitch, and embodiment.
Repertoire can be assigned or brought in by the student. In the past this has looked like arias, art songs, pop songs, musical theater, blues, jazz, gospel, rock, and folk music. I welcome singers of all experience and especially enjoy working with beginners or people overcoming vocal shyness.
My experience is as an international operatic singer in contemporary experimental works. My training is a decade of teaching singing and a degree in Vocal Performance from Indiana University's Jacob's School of Music.
