About Bismuth (Lila)
I am a senior in high school looking to share my love for music with others. I began to play the violin at the age of 7 and learned viola, cello, stand-up bass, bass, and piano. I am a well-rounded musician always looking to better hone my skills. I have played in an orchestra for 4 years and a separate band for 7 years playing all genres of music. I have been invited to play at Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House but unfortunately was unable to go due to costs.

When teaching, I look to make a plan for each individual student to best suit their learning style. I understand that learning something new can be difficult and that there are different teaching styles that can be applied to better a student's understanding of the content.
During individual sessions, I make a lesson plan according to the specific student and try to avoid text-book lessons. I believe that if I am doing a good job teaching my student will enjoy the class and learn from it.
In class settings, I try my best to work with each student individually and as a whole class. I firmly believe that a good class setting and relationships are important to learning. While I am not able to cater to every student's needs, I will do everything within my power to provide the best experience possible.

Details
I charge $18 an hour for lessons and am flexible for payment dates and methods. If you need to cancel for any reason please contact me within 24 hours if possible, I charge for no-show lessons. Due to Covid-19 I do not do in-person lessons but plan to some point in the future.
