About Roscoe
"Teaching violin remains a way to share the discipline gained from my BMus at Rice University Shepherd School. Music exists as an extension of my daily life in a chamber ensemble. My approach balances technical precision in intonation and music theory with the warmth of orchestral playing.
Students often learn the nuances of ear training and tuning by ear alongside spiccato and staccato bowing technique. These fundamental habits often dictate the clarity of the musical voice."

My 8 years of experience allow me to demonstrate how posture dictates the quality of sound. You will receive free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to keep your practice steady.
We work through the complexities of shifting and vibrato with patience. Simple adjustments often yield the clearest tone. Playing through a challenging passage together is quite satisfying."
