About Ernesto
Walking into the music room in Nashville, I often think back to my own early training at the Curtis Institute of Music. My work with the Los Angeles Philharmonic informs how I approach scales and arpeggios, double stops, and orchestral playing with students ranging from 4-year-olds to teens. Progress in spiccato, staccato, intonation, and shifting comes through patient, consistent practice. I enjoy the process of teaching students to tune by ear and explore classical repertoire, making 6 years of experience feel like a continuous discovery.

Tightened shoulders and rigid wrists often create tension that prevents a fluid sound on the violin. I address these physical habits by focusing on bowing technique and posture during our 8 sessions to ensure you are ready for your next audition.
Drawing from my time at the Curtis Institute of Music, I guide you through the nuance of performance dynamics. My approach relies on the 6 years of experience I gained playing professionally to clear away technical obstacles. You will receive free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to keep your practice on track. Please reach out if you would like to begin.
