About Emilia
Chemistry consumed my nights during medical school because the mechanisms were initially frustrating. I eventually realized that mastering aromatic chemistry and carbonyl chemistry requires pure repetition. My approach builds on 3 years of experience teaching complex topics like resonance and acidity and curved-arrow notation.
IUPAC nomenclature and retrosynthesis are staples in my syllabus. I frequently explain amines, stereochemistry, and radical reactions to pre-med students who struggle with these concepts. Sometimes it feels like there is no end to the pathways.
