About Kristen
I recently graduated from Colorado College in 2020 with a degree in Organismal Biology and Ecology. I am currently working as a medical assistant as I study for the MCAT. I tutored students in biology and other science subjects for all 4 years of my college career and worked as a learning assistant in my school's human cadaver lab. I have continued to remotely tutor students and close friends throughout this pandemic as they finish their college degrees and look forward to connecting with other students. I am a nerd who loves science and loves teaching others to love it, or at least learn it, as well.

I am open to tutoring students of any level and have an extensive background in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Organismal Biology, Biochemistry, and Anatomy and Physiology. I am a visual learner and have found that having images to associate with scientific words you've never heard before is crucial to learning and retaining information. I also find that practice questions and exams are helpful in preparing students and reducing testing anxiety and am open to creating plans for students who may also benefit from such things.
