About David

I love teaching and collaborative work, as well as games and technology. For all of the above is that since I was a university student I started teaching mathematics and psychology classes for future university students or for students of the university itself. Later I was able to train myself with teaching techniques that were complemented with my studies of Professional Mentoring under the standards of the European Coaching & Mentoring Council (EMCC) and then with my training as a professional Coach. After some teaching in Chile I came to Canada to continue expanding my range of knowledge and experiences so I am very happy to be able to share experiences and accompany you in your learning process.

About the lesson

My mentoring style is based on the following points:
- Every student has their strengths and resources to advance, they only require learning to rediscover their resources to focus them on achieving their expected results.
- The generation of goals to achieve as well as understanding the reasons why you want to achieve those goals is part of the development process. That is why I work on a mix of formative exercises with reflections on motivational elements that help us to promote learning.
- Humor is part of the learning process and in my mentoring there will always be room for laughter. When you play using the contents to be studied is when the fundamental principles of the contents to be learned are best acquired.
- Each student has his or her own pace, so we set specific, measurable, achievable, reasonably challenging and time-bound (SMART) goals.
- If during the process it is discovered the need to work with coaching sessions, we proceed to schedule coaching process keeping the same value per session established.

It is important to mention that the classroom hours can be used as coaching sessions with the understanding that coaching sessions are aimed at achieving.
