About Chris

My name is Chris and I am an experienced Chinese language teacher who enjoys traveling and painting. Teaching has always been my calling and I feel very fortunate to be able to share my knowledge and passion for the Chinese language and culture with students from all over the world.

In my classes, I emphasize the importance of practice, communication and cultural exchange. Learning a language is more than just mastering grammar and vocabulary. In order to provide students with a well-rounded learning experience, I incorporate cultural elements into my teaching and encourage students to participate in class discussions and share their own experiences.

In addition to my passion for teaching Chinese, I am an avid traveler. Traveling allows me to explore different cultures and learn about different ways of life.

My love of art has led me to develop a unique teaching style that incorporates visual aids and creative activities into my lessons to make learning more engaging and fun.

Prior to starting my teaching career in Chinese, I was a psychology counselor and taught psychology courses at a university. Counseling training has equipped me with the skills to understand and support students' emotional and psychological needs. This expertise has enabled me to create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes more effective student learning.

I am excited to continue my journey as an advanced Chinese teacher and look forward to guiding and supporting new and existing students in mastering this beautiful language.
