About Merrin
I am an enthusiastic Flute tutor with 17 years of teaching and work experience. My goal is to make music learning enjoyable, practical, and rewarding for every student. I teach school and college students by creating lessons that are easy to understand and suited to individual learning needs.
Students develop strong skills in breathing, posture, finger techniques, rhythm, scales, tone production, and performance. One of the highlights of my teaching journey has been seeing students progress from complete beginners to confident performers.
Besides flute, I teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythm exercises, and performance preparation. I believe music builds confidence, discipline, creativity, and lifelong learning habits.

I believe that every student has unique musical potential. My teaching methodology combines Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students achieve their personal goals through enjoyable learning experiences.
Lessons begin with posture, breathing exercises, rhythm, finger technique, note reading, and tone development. Students gradually progress toward scales, articulation, dynamics, improvisation, and stage performance with confidence.
Motivation encourages students to practice regularly and believe in their abilities. Communication makes every lesson interactive and easy to understand. Integrity helps me teach with patience, honesty, fairness, and professionalism.
Creative lesson activities include movie songs, classical melodies, musical games, listening exercises, duet practice, improvisation, and performance coaching. I also teach recorder, music theory, beginner keyboard, sight reading, ear training, and rhythm practice.
