About Bennie
I am a professional pianist. Have been teaching for over 20 years all styles of genre's either by reading music or learning by ear. I studied at Duquesne University School of Music and Berklee School of Music. I have an extensive piano and vocal repertoire consisting of Classical, Jazz, New Age, Standards, Showtunes, Elton John, Billy Joel, and the Beatles, just to name a few. I am a songwriter with over two hundred original songs. Have backed up such artists as Beatlemania, Little Anthony, Eddie Arnold, the Diana Ross Show Revue, and was the keyboardist for the show band "Pinoy".

I take each student and evaluate them. How much natural talent they have and then design a customized lesson plan designed to bring that student along. I teach the musical alphabet forward and backwords. Teach half step whole step ear training recognition. Teach how to form half and whole steps into major and minor scale and chord construction as well as chord inversions. Introduce Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and other classical composers. Everything is based off of scale construction to stimulate the student interest. Teaching traditional pedagogy, ear training, musical notation, Nashville chord number system and how to pick out songs by ear. Teach Classical, Jazz, Rock n'Roll, etc. Music minus 1 technique. I provide print outs, books Hannon Bastin, etc. I also teach the Suzuki piano method. Call for additional information.
