About Theo
I am a dedicated and patient Saxophone tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, having successfully guided around 150 students. I enjoy working with beginners as well as advanced learners and helping them progress step by step.
My teaching philosophy is based on strong fundamentals and consistent practice. I train students in posture, breathing techniques, tone control, finger positioning, and rhythm exercises. I also include music theory, sight-reading, and improvisation to build complete musicianship.
I believe in adapting my lessons to suit individual learning styles. Some students learn faster through practice drills, while others benefit from listening and repetition. I maintain open communication and encourage students to ask questions freely.
One of my strengths is creating a positive and motivating learning atmosphere. I help students prepare for performances, school programmes, and exams. My goal is not just to teach the saxophone but to inspire long-term love and dedication towards music.

My teaching methodology for Saxophone is centred on Communication, Accountability, and Integrity. I believe that strong fundamentals create confident musicians. I begin by building proper posture, breath control, embouchure strength, and tone clarity.
I carefully explain each technique and demonstrate it step-by-step so students fully understand how to practise correctly. I design structured lesson plans with weekly goals that include scales, articulation drills, rhythm exercises, and musical pieces. Accountability is maintained through consistent practice tracking and progress reviews.
I give honest and constructive feedback to help students improve steadily. Integrity in my teaching means I focus on long-term skill development rather than quick results. In addition to Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight Reading, and basic Improvisation to develop complete musical understanding.
