About Koni
I am a passionate Trumpet tutor with 14+ years of experience teaching High School students, College students, and adults. Over the years, I have successfully helped around 300 students improve their skills and confidence through organised lessons and individual attention. My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing students achieve goals they once thought were difficult.
My teaching philosophy is simple. Every student has the ability to succeed when they receive patient guidance and consistent encouragement. I explain every topic in simple English and break complex ideas into smaller, manageable steps that are easier to understand.
My teaching style combines clear instruction, practical learning, regular revision, and personalised feedback. I believe building strong fundamentals is essential for long-term success. I also motivate students to become independent learners by encouraging regular practice outside the classroom.
Teaching around 300 students has been one of my proudest accomplishments. Many students have improved academically, gained confidence, and developed valuable learning habits that continue to benefit them.
I believe education should be enjoyable, positive, and inspiring. My goal is to help every learner enjoy Trumpet while developing confidence, discipline, and skills that support lifelong learning and personal growth.

My approach to teaching Trumpet is focused on helping students develop strong musical abilities through personalised and interactive lessons. Communication plays an important role in my teaching because it helps me understand student goals and provide effective guidance.
I adapt my teaching methods according to different learning styles to ensure every student receives the support they need. I use real-life examples and case studies from live performances, orchestras, bands, and professional musicians to connect lessons with real-world experiences.
In addition to Trumpet, I teach supporting subjects such as Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight Reading, Rhythm Skills, and Musical Expression. My aim is to improve students’ technique, confidence, creativity, and overall understanding of music.
