About Emily

Hi, I’m Emily! I’ve been passionate about music for as long as I can remember—starting piano at 7 and singing from the age of 10. Over the years, music has become such an important part of who I am, and I love sharing that with others. I’ve studied and performed in many different styles: from the beauty and discipline of classical piano to the freedom of jazz and improvisation on the saxophone, and of course, the joy of singing. I teach because I want to help students experience that same excitement and connection with music—whether it’s the thrill of performing, the fun of improvising, or simply playing something you love. Every student learns differently, and I enjoy creating lessons that are encouraging, creative, and tailored to your goals. Most of all, I want music to feel inspiring and enjoyable, just as it has for me throughout my life.

About the lesson

I love helping others discover the joy of music through singing, saxophone and piano lessons. With a background in performance across classical, jazz, soul and musical theatre I focus on building confidence, solid technique and real musical expression. Every lesson is tailored to you, any style you would like to play or sing - whether you are a beginner and starting out, preparing for graded exams or wanting to simply play for fun. My goal is to make learning instruments and music enjoyable but also inspiring at every step. I hope to help others fall in love with music as I have.

Perfect! Emily is a fantastic Alto Sax teacher to me and piano teacher to my 6 year old. She is really patient (with both of us) and keeps the lessons varied but also doesn' t lose sight of the fact that it has to be fun. Highly recommended!
