About Kendra

I discovered my love for dance at the age of 14. I have trained in Ballet, Modern dance, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Commercial Dance and African dance in prominent dance studios and programs in Maryland, DC, New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles for the last 16 years. These diverse grounds of training have led me to be the dancer and teacher I am today. I attended Temple University where I earned her BFA in Dance Education. Shortly after graduating, I became a middle school dance teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools, where I spent two wonderful years educating students on dance and showcasing students in wonderful performance opportunities. I went on to continue teaching across the Washington Metropolitan area, providing students with a variety of dance and choreography classes.

Now located in the Los Angeles area signed with Clear Talent Group, I continue to train and audition regularly, performing as the opportunities and jobs arise. My talents recently landed me in projects such as, The Color Purple: The Musical (film), BET Soul Train Awards, Babylon (film), In the Heights (film), The Prom: The Netflix Musical, Remy Martin Team Up For Excellence (commercial), and many more.

I aim to provide quality dance classes and private lessons to adults and children. With an upbeat and encouraging attitude, I lead
my students to challenge themselves and reach their next level.

Through dance, I have hopes of inspiring and motivating more people to commit to themselves positively and effectively to accomplish whatever they desire.

About the lesson

In our lessons, we will make clear and focus specifically on the goals you’d like to achieve in dance, whether it’s to enhance performance quality or to learn how to dance freely at social events! Once we lock those goals in, I tailor the lessons specifically to you and your needs! We always start with a warm-up and end with a cool down to ensure your body is moving safely and efficiently. Everything else in between can range from specific drills to movement games and exercises to choreography.
