I am a writer first, than a tutor second and manage retirement tutoring mathematics and tutoring children bask Math - I 2 novels, 2 non-fiction books, 10 screenplays and 4 stage plays finished and ready to go on the screen or stage. One book, for example, was going to be adapted to a movie by a mainstream producer in Pittsburgh had it not been for the Covid19 virus.

I really don't have a single teach approach - It would be a multiple approach in that I assess the students needs and go from there. If the student needs close attention paid to 'basics' I'll do that. If the basics are solid, i'll go to the higher learning issues. For example, a student may need more attention on fractions and multiplication tables before going to factors and exponents. I've always felt that the reason only 50% of the people pass calculus is not because of the new principles of calculus, because they are not hard, but because they have stumbled way before that.
