About Ben
My name is Ben Eastwood, and I'm a First-Year Graduate Medical Student at the University of Oxford. I'm 23, and studied Chemistry as my first degree, here at Oxford. I spent the year between graduating and starting my new course teaching and travelling in Australia, where I was based in South-East Queensland. I've always loved giving new things a go, but as time becomes scarcer, the things that I like to keep up are Rugby (including Touch) and Cricket. I've been teaching students in the holidays at home for years, and taking part in the handing down of knowledge from year to year between undergraduates while at university.

My teaching style is very informal, and somewhat resembles the setting of an Oxford tutorial, which is also the typical style of an Oxford interview. Getting comfortable with this type of academic engagement is more crucial to success both in interview and in university life than being the most impressive candidate on paper. It's also conducive to real understanding of the topic, which is why it's the primary form of teaching at the top universities, and spending some time learning in this way can benefit any student.
