About Charlie
Hi, I'm Charlie, I'm 21 and I have just finished my 3rd year studying Engineering at Oxford. I have been so lucky in time in education and I believe in helping as many young students as I can to aid them with their academic study and applications to university. I have tutored 1 to 1; worked as a student ambassador on access and outreach projects; and worked as a teaching assistant in various schools both in the UK and abroad. I love teaching maths (to any age group), but I am also very happy with the sciences, university admissions.

My teaching tends to be guided by what the students most feel they wish to work on. I normally start with discussions about what the student is working on and what they're struggling with, before we decided together how best to proceed. Learning is a two way process and students should be as actively engaged in the process as possible. I aim to have as much flexibility in my approach as possible, as I find that rigid schedules for tutoring often leave little room for manoeuvre if some topics take more time than others.
