About Zuha
I am an Experimental Psychology graduate from the University of Oxford with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. Alongside my studies, I have gained experience working with students across a range of ages and educational stages.
I recently volunteered as a one-to-one reading tutor, delivering weekly sessions to a Year 4 pupil to improve reading fluency, comprehension and confidence. I have also mentored A-level students, supporting them with challenging topics, revision strategies and exam preparation. In addition, I have delivered psychology workshops for prospective university applicants and supported students applying to the University of Oxford by providing detailed personal statement feedback and conducting mock interviews. The students I mentored successfully went on to receive Oxford offers.
My background in Experimental Psychology has given me a strong understanding of how people learn and the importance of adapting teaching to different learning styles. I aim to create lessons that are engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs, helping them build confidence alongside subject knowledge.

My lessons are tailored to each student's learning style and exam board, with a strong focus on mastering exam technique through past paper and exam-style questions. I begin by identifying areas of strength and those that need further development before breaking down complex biological concepts into clear, manageable steps. The main focus will be applying this knowledge to the types of questions students are most likely to encounter in their exams. Lessons are interactive and designed to build both confidence and understanding, ensuring students are well prepared for GCSE Biology assessments. Sessions are typically 60 minutes long.
