About Max
Approachable and versatile: having recently achieved high grades at GCSE and A-Level, I'm well placed to get the best out of students. I always emphasise understanding of the conceptual over understanding of the technical and, as a recent graduate from Oxford University, I am best placed to explain the theory that underpins and expands on the mathematics in tutorials. I have over 5 years of professional tutoring 11+ papers, university interviews, and everything in between. I am prepared to go over and above what is normally asked of tutors to help a student succeed. Examples include setting homework tailored to the individual student and offering an email-surgery in which students can send in any questions for me to answer. My recent achievements include helping a student gain excellent grades in his STEP papers thereby confirming his place at Cambridge University, and helping one of my younger students formulate a solution to the Josephus Problem.
