I am an experienced Maths and Physics teacher with degrees in both subjects from Oxford University. My approach focuses on building a deep understanding of concepts, problem-solving skills, and confidence in applying knowledge to exam-style questions. I tailor each session to suit individual needs, particularly depending on time-scale. Sometimes we have time to get good on a conceptual basis, sometimes we only have a month and we just need to get good at the exam! I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to exams, and I'm particularly good at ripping them up into their component parts, identifying the patterns and coming up with teachable strategies to help students get the marks as safely and efficiently as possible. Lesson Structure: Typical lesson duration: 1 hour (flexible based on student requirements). Interactive and engaging, with clear explanations and step-by-step guidance. Emphasis on exam techniques and real-world applications. Qualifications & Experience: Double graduate from Oxford University in Mathematics and Physics, alongside a PGCE teaching qualification. Have worked in both the state sector and in top independent schools for 15 years. Years of experience teaching GCSE, A-Level, IB, and university-preparation students, including Oxbridge and preparation for Olympiads.
