About Henriette

I gained my doctorate in French literature at the University of Oxford and have over 20 years of teaching experience in leading UK Universities, teaching French language, translation and literature. As a native speaker, I have taught both students specialising in French and well as non specialist from beginners to advanced levels. I am also a keen practicing translator, translating into and out of French.

I am a dedicated teacher and I enjoy transmitting my taste for French language, literature and culture. I am a firm believer that language skills develop additional crucial skills: accuracy, critical thinking and inter-cultural understanding.

About the lesson

My lessons are interactive, fun, and tailored to students' specific needs. I enjoy tapping into their special interests and build classes around that.

I gained my doctorate in French literature at the University of Oxford and have over 15 years of teaching experience in UK’s leading Universities. I am able to teach French at all levels from the secondary curriculum up to University post-graduate courses. I enjoy teaching from beginners to advanced students and I also cater for professional bespoke needs.

I am also able to help with preparing for Oxbridge admissions exams (MLAT for Oxford and MMLAA for Cambridge) and the interviews themselves. Having sat on Oxford admission panels, I am well attuned to the demands of the process and selection criteria.
