About Migara
I'm Migara, an Oxford graduate with an MSc with Distinction in Speech and Language Processing from the University of Edinburgh, currently pursuing a PhD in AI research.
I have always loved the moment something finally clicks, and that is what drives me as a tutor. My sessions are relaxed but focused, and I want every student to feel comfortable asking any question, no matter how basic it seems.
I have experience tutoring Mathematics and supporting students through Oxbridge applications, and I bring the same attention to every student I work with.

My sessions are built around genuine understanding rather than rote technique. Every topic begins with context - why this concept exists, where it comes from, and why it matters - before we move into worked examples and practice questions. As we work through problems together, I identify exactly where understanding breaks down and address it directly before moving on.
Each session closes with the student teaching the concept back to me. This is one of the most effective learning techniques known, and it quickly reveals whether something has truly been understood or just followed along with.
