About Kate
Hello! I'm an experienced teacher and tutor, but also a wife and mother. I home educated my own children (who are now grown up) but have also done individual tutoring and whole class teaching. I love seeing students thriving and growing in their understanding of French or Spanish, whatever their starting point. Languages are not effortless, but nor are they 'too difficult' for those who want to learn. Please do get in touch!

I'm an experienced KS3, GCSE/IGCSE, AS and A2 French and Spanish teacher, including five years' experience in an independent senior school and home educating my own children through French and Spanish IGCSE! I believe that it is important to develop the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in order to master a language, and I also believe that understanding grammar is key to allowing a student to use a language independently.
