About Feyi
I’ve always loved sharing my passion for knowledge with others and I find it so exciting to be able to see my students progress and discover a love for learning themselves. I currently work as a strategist at an advertising agency and I think the skills I use there, of presenting and transforming lots of information into clear strategies, contribute to me being a great teacher. My first experience of tutoring occurred during high school, where I engaged in a volunteer programme that helped teach English as a Foreign Language to new students arriving at the school. More than that though, it was a holistic programme that sought to help integrate and acclimatise these new students to their environments, and I helped guide them through the difficulties of such a big change. I continued to assist students in younger years with their A Level studies, taking time to go the further mile and provide extra reading and coaching that helped them gain top marks and entrance to an array of Russell Group Universities. Reviewing and advising on coursework, sharpening exam technique, and encouraging an appreciation of their subject are all essential elements of my tutoring approach. My favourite experiences of teaching have been when I show students that they are intelligent and have great ideas, and that all they need is some guidance and structure. I have volunteered at a charity teaching creative writing to children, and seeing those who were the most shy or lacked confidence with the writing flourish at the end of each term has been when I’ve felt most fulfilled.

I graduated from the University of Oxford with a First in History and French. Prior to attending Oxford, I achieved A*A*A*A in English, History, French and Chemistry respectively. I mentor students in undergrad, Masters and PhD university applications, helping with personal statement editing and interview prep. I have been successful in tutoring students for Oxbridge and Ivy League entry. I am also well-placed to provide tuition for English Literature and History GCSE & A-Level. I am a dedicated and approachable tutor, focused on building both subject knowledge and exam technique, ensuring my students feel confident and well-prepared for every challenge. I take an individualised approach, making sure to adapt her teaching style to suit each student, breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and encouraging active problem-solving. Lastly, I can provide career coaching, help edit CVs and cover letters, and provide interview prep for the creative industries.
