About Joseph
A recent Oxford graduate with five months of experience as an English teacher in Italian schools and online. I have a TEFL and an excellent knowledge of European history and literature. I am avid reader of books, both historical texts and novels. I am happy to teach History, English Literature and Language at GCSE or A Level, or English as a Foreign Language. I will begin a Phd in September at the University of Edinburgh.

I am careful to plan thoroughly and to maintain the right balance in tone, ensuring a respectful and effective working atmosphere, whilst maintaining a sense of fun and rapport with each of my students. I know it is important to maintain an active dialogue throughout the class, engaging all the students in the class. I believe in an individuated approach to language teaching, and recognise that different learners will learn in different ways. Whatever the nationality, backgrounds, ages, or learning priorities of my students, I will make sure to tailor each lesson to their needs.
