About Zaid
I grew up between the UK and the Emirates, and have just finished studying law at Oxford. It was an incredible experience, and has inspired me to encourage more students from the Emirates to look at pursuing courses like law, History and other essay-based subjects. I think they tend to be quite underrated, and their exploration can really help young people develop their worldviews and interests in later life!
Cultivating skills on these subjects is crucial to developing nuanced ways of thinking that facilitate the navigation of any study, career, workplace environment, and any aspect of life. I want to help you do so.

The most important thing in any essay-based subject is not just to memorize, memorize, memorize - it’s to actually form a real opinion on it! You don’t have to reinvent the field or come up with any completely new ideas, but what examiners want are ideas you actually hold and they want to see you apply them confidently and coherently.
My approach to tutoring is three steps. First, look at the fundamentals: figuring how we can strengthen the building blocks of your work. Second, we discuss and learn: forming an opinion through active discussion was one of the highlights of my time at Oxford! Third, we apply, apply, apply!
