About Alexander
Hi, I'm Alex, a law student at Keble College, Oxford, due to start as a trainee solicitor at Slaughter and May in a couple of years time. I am a passionate cricket and sports fan with a keen interest in literature, history, philosophy and law.
In my first year, I was awarded a Distinction (=first) in my exams, along with a number of prizes and a scholarship from my college.
When applying, I scored 34 in my LNAT for Oxford, placing me in the top 26 applicants out of over 2000.
Since starting at Oxford I helped one applicant prepare for her interview after which she received an offer to study here. I also helped guide one applicant through the LNAT, later also receiving an offer.
I worked as a freelance tutor at Wellington College for a year helping to tutor their students for law applications.
I have previously helped volunteer at a primary school in Westminster, where I helped the kids there with some maths and literacy. I also have experience tutoring 13-15 year old students in English, Debating and Maths, both 1 to 1 and in groups of 3-5, whom I have taught creative writing, poetry analysis and guided them through Macbeth. Additionally, I have helped to prepare a child to sit the King's 9+ for English, helping them to gain an interview.

Sessions for university admissions can take a variety of structures - either looking at personal statements and the initial steps behind them or working on the review and editing process for them. They can also look more at test prep, specifically for the LNAT, both in terms of essay feedback and practise as well as advice for the multiple choice section on the test. Finally, for those applying to universities that interview, I can help prepare for those interviews.
