About Felix
I’m a recent Mathematics graduate from King’s College London and will be starting my Master’s degree at the University of Oxford this October. Having completed GCSEs, A-Levels, and covered advanced exams like STEP and MAT myself, I understand the challenges students face at every stage.
I love helping students not just understand maths, but actually enjoy it and feel confident in their abilities. Tutoring allows me to share my knowledge and support others on their own maths journeys, and I find it incredibly rewarding to see students improve and succeed.
If you’re looking for someone who combines strong academic experience with genuine enthusiasm for teaching, I’d be happy to help!

My approach to tutoring is flexible and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. I begin by identifying areas of strength and weakness, then structure lessons to build understanding in a clear and logical way - always encouraging questions and active problem-solving.
A typical lesson might start with a quick review of previous material, followed by focused work on a specific topic or exam question type. I like to break down complex ideas into manageable parts and explain the why behind each method, not just the how, to help students build genuine confidence and fluency in maths.
For students preparing for exams like A-Level, STEP, or MAT, I incorporate timed practice and discuss strategies for tackling harder problems under pressure. I aim to create a relaxed but productive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
Whether you're aiming to boost your grades or prepare for competitive entrance exams, I’ll adapt my teaching to support your progress every step of the way.

Details
I offer a 30-minute free introductory session to meet the student (and parent, if appropriate), discuss goals, and see if we're a good fit before beginning regular lessons.
Online tutoring is preferred and most consistent, especially over the summer as I move around frequently. I'm open to in-person lessons from October onwards once I’m settled in Oxford.
For any in-person requests during term time, travel costs will depend on distance - I’m happy to discuss and agree on a fair rate if needed.
I’m also happy to offer additional support such as marking and feedback on work outside of lesson time - this can be arranged depending on the volume and nature of the work.
