About Oliver
I hold a PhD in Chemical Biology from the University of Oxford, and tutored undergraduate chemistry there for several years at one of the highest performing colleges. I have previously tutored A-level students, helping students to raise their grades when it matters. I also hold an undergraduate Master’s degree in Chemistry from another top UK university. I currently work in the pharmaceutical industry and bring real-world context to my teaching, particularly valuable for students interested in science careers. I have deep expertise in organic chemistry, molecular biology, and the application of data science in the life sciences, with additional qualification in physical and inorganic chemistry, and I am adept with the use of physics and maths to explain concepts where necessary.

I offer a structured yet flexible approach to tutoring, tailored to each student's goals and learning style. If you're preparing for exams, understanding complex topics, or aiming for top university entry, I can help you build deep understanding, confidence, and strong problem-solving skills. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and balance explanation, interactive discussion, and practice. We will reinforce learning through targeted exercises and exam-style questions, where the lessons are led by the student's needs. I am available to tutor Chemistry and associated biology from GCSE and A-Level to IB, university, and postgraduate level. I'm happy to support students of all abilities, including those seeking to stretch beyond the curriculum or needing a confidence boost.
