About Sheppard

Hi there!
I'm an Oxford physics graduate (or survivor...) and I'm now working as a secondary science teacher. You might be having some rather tricky topics you are struggling with, and the school just doesn't quite cover the material clear/well enough somehow. Don't worry! That's what I'm here for. As a teacher, I'm very patient and good at explaining difficult concepts, aided with practices and fun real-life applications. I'm sure you can soon excel at these more difficult topics!

If getting into Oxford has been your aspiration, I can certainly help with this as well. I'm very familiar with the admission process and can help you prepare your interviews and PAT/MAT.

All these aside, I'm very much a people person and very easy to talk to. I love hiking, camping, and landscape photography is my passion.

About the lesson

My students normally have certain particular topics of the subject that they are finding difficult to understand. I'm very good at explaining these topics, using examples and connecting prior knowledge. Aided with practice, my students would have a much better grasp of them pretty soon.

I also try to mix in some fun real-life applications for abstract concepts or theories in maths and physics to make the lessons more interesting.

My lessons are usually an hour long. I'm an experienced teacher who's familiar with the KS3 - KS5 curriculum as well as the common misconceptions in different topics.

I teach maths, further maths and physics for both GCSE and A-level.
