About Benjamin
Hi, I’m Ben and I recently graduated with a first-class degree in physics from the University of Oxford. I love teaching and have been helping students improve their confidence, ability and exam performance for over 8 years. I provide tutoring services in maths, further maths and physics primarily for A-Level students.
For the last two years, I have worked in corporate strategy in the finance industry, spending my days coding in Python and SQL, so I only tend to take on one student at a time - please enquire early to get yourself booked in!
I have a strong command of the syllabus material from my undergraduate study and am also a published author of revision guides sold worldwide.
I take on a range of students: some short term with improving exam performance as the primary goal, and other long-term students for whom I can develop a bespoke curriculum to challenge and inspire them.
I can provide extra tuition for Oxbridge entrance exams - Physical Natural Sciences at Cambridge and Oxford Physics Aptitude Test (PAT) - and assistance with interview preparation. I also have computer programming experience so I can teach beginners the fundamentals of coding in Python or SQL.
I offer targeted lessons, ensuring I plan content to suit the individual pupil’s needs. I am always 100% dependable and reliable and I pride myself on my flexibility.

I have experience in teaching students both online and in-person, with lessons typically between 30 minutes and 1 hour. I like to spend the first portion of the lesson answering any questions the student might have and reaffirming concepts they need to understand. I like to then spend the majority of the lesson completing practice questions.
I can set and mark as much homework as the student would like!
