About Anna
Being an (undergraduate) student myself, I can appreciate the importance of a good tutor. Someone who will support your most ambitious goals but also someone you’re not afraid to say “I have no idea what’s going on” to, and who can help you from there. That’s the kind of supportive and approachable environment I aim to create in my lessons.
Physics and Maths are often seen as “love or hate” subjects, and this is usually down to how they are taught. With the right approach, they can be understood and can actually be enjoyable.

My approach to tutoring is centred on personalised learning, as every student has a different preferred style. I usually begin by asking what works best for them and adapt my teaching accordingly.
In lessons, I focus on building a strong understanding of the underlying theory first, followed by plenty of guided practice. I set exercises for students to complete independently and check them in the next session. I also place strong emphasis on working through past papers, particularly for exam and admissions preparation. Where possible, I like to relate concepts to real-life applications to help students better appreciate the subject.
Lessons typically last 1–1.5 hours and are aimed at students aged 14–19, including those studying A-levels, IB, or preparing for admissions tests such as the PAT.
I have prior experience tutoring independently, including PAT and interview preparation, as well as providing guidance on personal statements for university admissions.
