About Ibrahim
Pleased to meet you, I am Ibrahim, an established and reliable academic entrance exam and interview tutor with a strong track record of guiding students to achieve their exam goals across their GCSEs, the 11 plus as well as the common entrance exam at 13 or 11 as well as Oxbridge entrance. Being the son of two Asian academic doctors, achieving highly at school from a young age was an expectation not an option; I started on my own exam journey at the age of 7 passing my Mensa entrance exam with an IQ > 140+ !!! I attended prep school at Durston House and Orley Farm, and at age 11 was fortunate enough to be offered both grammar school entry as well as an academic scholarship to Cranbrook College for exceptionally good entrance exam performance. I achieved 9 A* at GCSE and 3 A* in my A levels. I am fascinated by philosophy and human social networks and how these manifest in economic development and graduated PPE from Trinity College Oxford in Summer of 2025. I have always enjoyed mentoring and teaching younger students and worked as a part-time academic tutor throughout my university years, including tutoring 1st year Oxford PPE students in essay writing and international relations.

I have experience in coaching students through the Francis Holland entrance exam and interview as well as entrance to Holland Park entrance and Harris Westminster entrance exam and interviews. I have strong study and exam skills, and am very talented at teaching verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning and mathematics for 11+, 13+ entrance exams. I have tutored students for GCSE English, history, maths, geography, politics, business studies and economics. Ancestry my students always improve their baseline performance after a month of targeted lessons. I believe it’s important to empower students to believe in their own potential as well as to teach good study skills as once students know how to revise effectively or sit exams with the best exam technique they can use these strategies again and again for any type of exam. I am careful to initially assess students' strengths and weaknesses to give them a learning plan when we first meet and set realistic study goals. I achieve great outcomes with all levels of student by using positive conditioning and gamification of study so students enjoy lessons with me and start to develop greater passion and joy for learning. I am dyslexia, ADHD, autism friendly! I have experience and knowledge of how to tutor neurodiverse students to maximise their strengths and find workarounds for weaknesses. In terms of older students, I use critical analysis and rigorous feedback to help students essay write for coursework or under exam conditions to be precise, persuasive and to show arguments, and show the deep understanding expected of Oxford undergraduates. I’ve mentored many A level Oxford applicants through the university’s official outreach programmes and private coaching, helping students secure places across PPE, HSPS, History, and more. A typical initial session begins with a quick review of prior work, followed by focused assessment exercises—be it past paper analysis, essay planning, or deep-diving into key texts or theories. I close with tailored feedback and a clear action plan. I’m highly familiar with AQA, Edexcel, and OCR exam boards, as well as Oxbridge-specific admissions tests like the TSA and HAT. I've had particular success coaching for interview prep and personal statements, which is my forte and will secure your place. If you’re aiming for 11+ success, A*s, university entrance, or simply want to love your subject more—I’ll help you get there. As I’m new to this platform I’m offering cut-price lessons to my first few regular students and I look forward to meeting you soon.
