About Robin
I have had a long-standing love for maths that grew throughout my formal schooling in the UK. As such, when I came to apply to university, there was only one real option for what I would study. After getting an A* at A-level (the highest grade available in the UK), I obtained a First Class integrated masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford in 2019, specialising largely in pure mathematics. Since then I have found a more practical application for the logical thinking of studying maths by working as a software developer for four years in London.
Throughout this time I have been involved in numerous teaching and tutoring ventures. Whilst at school I volunteered time to help younger students with their maths work and providing extension activities. At university I volunteered with an organisation called Students4Students, helping struggling students with getting to grips with reading. And outside my job as a software developer, I volunteered as a teacher for Code First Girls, running and assisting free lessons in computer programming.

Hi there! I am a graduate in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, with previous experience tutoring in various subjects including maths. With my deep understanding of the subject I am well set up for helping learn maths at any level, be it first getting to grips with addition and subtraction all the way through to calculus, algebra and other advanced topic.
I am a great believer in tailoring tutoring to the needs of the individual, so let's have a conversation about what you're looking to get out of a tutor and we can make it work. I've had all sorts of maths teaching throughout my education, and have always found more value from dynamic teachers who engage with the material and meet the student where they are than those that dole out repetitive exercises.
I am flexible around the needs of the student, but generally suggest we start with an introductory session to understand the student's starting point, and move forward from there with one hour sessions. I prefer to teach in person, but I am happy to work around your needs - get in touch!
