About Ummar-Ali
I’m a first-year medical student at Oxford University with a passion for helping people reach their full potential. I come from a state school background, so I understand the importance of having the right support and encouragement to succeed. Outside of medicine, I’m a huge Formula One fan and am working towards becoming a Formula One medic in the future. The combination of high-pressure decision-making and cutting-edge medical science makes it an exciting goal that drives my passion for medicine. I’m also really into sports—I play ice hockey, football, and pretty much any sport I can get involved in. Balancing intense academics with competitive sports has taught me discipline, resilience, and strategic thinking, which I apply in all areas of life
