About Sabina
Studied Mathematics and Philosophy at Kings College London and obtained my PGCE at Oxford University. I have over 8 years of teaching/ tutoring experience and with a proven track record of not only helping students achieve excellent results but also enjoying the process of learning and becoming motivated individuals. My experience varies from 1-2-1 lessons on bridging gaps in mathematical knowledge, building confidence as a learner, preparing for 11+ entrance exams and general GCSE revision.
I also have a small number of students who I have tutored regularly for over 5 years and have acted as a learning mentor and coached them in all aspects of school life e.g. making the transition from primary to secondary school.

Teaching is tailored to the individual needs of the student and adapted to their learning style. The lessons are informal and are guided by the student. As a teacher, I have an innate ability to built a rapport with my students so they always feel comfortable to ask questions, which is necessary in order to clear any misconceptions they have. The aim of the lesson is to ensure that the student can learn how to think mathematically and to have a thorough understanding of mathematical concepts rather than simply being able to answer questions. The result is that the student becomes engaged with the subject and enjoys the challenge of mathematics rather than it simply being a difficult chore.
