About Jonathan
I am a student at Oxford University studying Russian language and literature. I started learning Russian at school when I was 14. I achieved A* in both GCSE and A-Level and went on to study at Oxford, where I finished my first year with a 2:1.
I am also well acquainted with the Oxford admissions system, having navigated it and gained an offer myself. I have mentored numerous students with their Oxford applications, many of whom gained offers. I can offer interview practice, help with entrance examinations and reading recommendations. My specific strength here is applicants for Russian, but I also have experience in preparing applicants for other languages.

My teaching method is based on practical usage of the language, with an emphasis on vocabulary retention as well as on grammar learning, both of which are instrumental for success in Russian exams in the British education system. Where possible, I also strive to include conversation to help prepare for oral examinations. I tailor the lessons I give to each student according to their own ability and experience, and focus on each student's specific weaknesses
