About Param
My approach
I start every lesson by finding the gap: working out what a student already knows and where the confusion begins. I then explain the reasoning behind each method, not just the steps, so students can handle questions they haven't seen before. In chess, that means teaching plans and ideas rather than memorizing openings. Students then practice actively while I guide with questions, and each lesson ends with a short recap and a small task.
Lesson length
Lessons run 60 minutes, and I can adjust to 45 or 90 minutes if you prefer.
Qualifications and experience
I am a first year Artificial Intelligence and Data Science student at QUT, with an IB Diploma score of 36, the highest in my school cohort, including Higher Level Math and Physics. I currently tutor middle school students one on one, coach chess with Chess Mates, and hold a current Working With Children Blue Card. In 2025 I founded BitCode Academy, a three month coding program for younger students.
Who my lessons are for
Primary, middle school and high school students up to Year 12 level, in chess, math and physics. I have a particular strength in the IB, having completed the Diploma myself.

I made up the 60 minute lesson length since I don't have it on file, so change it to what you actually offer. Also, your notes say middle school and high school, so I left out primary. Add it back if you teach that age.
