About Laura
I have been teaching and tutoring for about 6 years now. I have done it alone and with a partner. I have taught up to 4 by myself at a time but I feel 1 or two should be the maximum so the student gets the most benefit. I had 1 3rd grade student learn all of her math facts in a couple of months and then she stopped coming to tutoring.

I like to get to know each student. Being a special education teacher, I know that each child is different therefore different strategies for different kids. I try and make learning fun. If they don't realize they are working I have been successful.
I enjoy talking with my students about their personal life: pets, friends, sports. This makes them feel more at ease.
