Hi there! Welcome to Tutoring with Ashlyn. I teach English & Math. Here are a few things to give you a good understanding of how I run my lessons!
Teaching methods
I always ask parents whether they know what learning style their child prefers. Whether it’s hands-on, or whether we need to go through multiple examples I want to make sure I’m on the same page as my student
Lesson plans
My lesson plans are based on what the child is challenged by or in what they are currently studying.
Ideal Students
My knowledge best serves those who are in elementary and in early/ mid high school
Why I tutor?
When I was in school, I loved learning! But there were times I would be stuck and lost at the back of the classroom not knowing what to do. Learning is exhausting and just plain old no fun when you can’t understand what everyone else understands. I want to help create an atmosphere that is fun and to be able to help my students understand what they are having difficulty learning.
