About Ranjini
I am Ranjini Sen Gupta, a singer songwriter composer and performer. You probably know me from Indian or from Shreya Ghoshal Ma'am calling me 'Lady Kishore Kumar' or 'The girl who can hit the Everest note' but I think of myself as the girl whose love for music surpasses everything. As an educator, I think it is my duty to shape the next generation of singers into informed and technically sound musicians. I always tell my students that music is not just another hobby or profession, it's a lifestyle, one you need to integrate into your daily life.

I combine technicalities and emotions i.e. while I have powerful vocal exercises up my sleeves to train your voice, I also explain how to emote a song by becoming one with the lyrics and composition.
My classes blend traditional and modern approaches to music, on one hand I teach laykari and ragas while on the other I train you in opera and yodeling.
Basics is the King. Having a strong sense of the basics of music means you have strengthened your core, your root and that's my aim. Strong vocal exercises, breath control, long notes, humming, you name it. I dive into the basics and then move on to the nitty-gritties of music.
