About Nathan

I'm Nathan, a friendly and approachable tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine love for learning. I achieved an A* in A-Level Geography and an A in A-Level Biology, completed a BSc in Physiotherapy, and am now studying an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience: Neuromuscular Disease. Geography has always been a passion alongside my scientific studies. I love how it bridges the natural world and human society, and I still explore topics beyond the curriculum simply because I find it fascinating.
Alongside my academic work, I have extensive experience working with children in early years and school-age settings, supporting them in developing confidence, skills and independence. I know first-hand how powerful a good tutor can be, and I aim to be that for my students by being personable, patient and easy to talk to. No one learns well when they dread their lessons, so my priority is to create a positive, relaxed space where questions are encouraged, mistakes are normal, and we can build understanding step by step.
My goal is to help students become the best they can be, whether that means securing a solid pass, pushing for top grades, or simply feeling more at ease with a subject they've previously struggled with. I focus on making sessions engaging and enjoyable while still challenging, so students develop both strong subject knowledge and the exam techniques they need to show it. Learning really happens when there's commitment and a spark of interest, and that's what I hope to share with every student I work with.

About the lesson

My lessons combine strong subject knowledge with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. With an A* in Geography and over 100 hours of tutoring experience across different ages, abilities and exam boards, I can confidently support students from KS3 through GCSE and A-level, covering everything from physical geography and tectonics to human geography, development, and fieldwork skills.
I've learned that students make the most progress when they feel comfortable and genuinely supported, so sessions are always encouraging and judgement-free. Every lesson is tailored to the individual: some students thrive on exam-style questions and structured answer techniques, while others need to rebuild from the foundations through clear explanations, case-study revision, and steady confidence-building. Either way, we'll work together to make each session feel purposeful.
Sessions are typically 60 minutes, and we'll agree upfront whether to focus on class topics, plug gaps, or sharpen exam technique to ensure you always leave with a clear sense of progress.
