About Sanaya
My experience volunteering with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) inspired me to pursue tutoring because it is rewarding to help young people overcome challenges and realise their potential. I chose to teach maths because it is a subject many students find intimidating, yet with the right support and clear explanations it can become both achievable and enjoyable.
I understand that exams can often bring stress, nerves and anxiety, so I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace. My goal is not only to improve their academic performance but also to build confidence and resilience that students can carry into the classroom and their exams.

About me:
My qualifications are that I have achieved 10 GCSE grades from A-C. For my A-Levels, I selected computer science, maths and psychology as my A-Level options hoping to pursue a career in technology.
My session strategy:
Each session will be structured to maximise learning while keeping students confident and motivated. I will begin by revisiting a question from a topic the student found challenging in the previous session to reinforce their understanding.
We will then work through new concepts with guided practice. I will set a manageable amount of homework to consolidate learning without becoming overwhelming.
Finally, we will review what has been covered to ensure students leave the session with a good level of understanding. I am also happy to provide parents or guardians with feedback on their child’s progress and areas for improvement, should they wish.
