About Stephanie
My name is Stephanie Perez. I am a first-generation American Colombian. An experience that shaped me to lead and teach was instructing swimming lessons for a camp of 250 children for 6 years in Englewood, NJ. My most memorable experience was teaching a six-year-old boy on the autistic spectrum to swim across the 6 feet end of the pool. It made both his guardian and I very happy when he accomplished the task in just 1 week. It was then, I fully realized my abilities to teach. I now look forward to sharing my passion for science with great individuals.

I am comfortable teaching elementary to high school levels. I enjoy beginning my lessons by telling the individual to tell themselves " I am good at [subject]". I like to make topics sound very simple and easy, and in return see hope.
