About Saskia

I am a student starting Mathematics at Warwick in September, with a love for teaching others. I recently graduated from Imperial Maths School, a specialist maths focused sixth-form where I developed a strong foundation of intuition for GCSE and A-Level maths, and completed my A-Levels. I am predicted 4A* and have achieved 10 9s at GCSE. I’m excited to share the knowledge that helped me achieve these results. I will always foster a relaxed learning environment, providing supportive mentoring for the subject that I love. I will share my understanding of Maths with you to help you achieve the results you want at GCSE and A-Level, simplifying the process of preparing for exams by providing actual skills and techniques that can be applied to questions and practising those skills in real time whilst working through problems with you.

About the lesson

In my lessons we will collaborate on questions you may find difficult or unobvious, discussing the techniques needed to achieve the answer, and talking through key concepts in maths that apply to that question. You will find that the next time you run into a similar question you know how to break down the problem into familiar steps that you can execute to find the answer!

Finally we will categorise the question in the context of the curriculum to find areas of weakness that we can focus on. I aim to show all students that maths isn't really that hard with the right understanding and execution. You will build the exam technique skills to find answers in timed pressure and we can practise the correct habits to make questions simple and exams easy :)

Learning will be fun in our sessions, I will always be excited to help you learn and I genuinely believe everyone can be great at maths.

I am open to guiding lessons to gauge your level of understanding with a certain topic, or to follow what you think you are unfamiliar with. Over time we can create lesson plans for structured teaching, alongside revision plans so you can organise your own practice effectively. I can also provide detailed, specific resources tailored to students' needs - worksheets for homework, powerpoints to explain topics.

The first half an hour of tutoring is free. This time gives us the opportunity to connect, discuss your goals, and create a plan that best suits your needs.
