About Katya
I am a teacher, that currently teaches Russian language and culture at SKidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY. For the past 15 years I enjoy teaching young minds about the beauty of Russian language and culture. I prepared my students and we participated in State Russian Olympiad with 9 other NY colleges. We consistently won the State Achievement Award among small colleges Russian Departments.

My teaching method is learning-centered which makes the students to learn what's necessary for the communication, and pushing them to strive to talk, read, and write at the same time. I also help my students to understand the grammar rules that makes their learning process less stressful. My lessons are so full of culture references, food and anecdotes that captivates the students' attention and motivate for fuller self-learning.
